Project Geologist
Primary Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee various environmental projects, including but not limited to remedial actions, field sampling, groundwater investigations, and munitions response projects
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and project proposals, demonstrating proficiency in project management methodologies
- Develop and implement remedial and removal strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations
- Supervise personnel and provide mentorship to staff, fostering their professional development in technical areas
- Cultivate expertise in designated technical domains, establishing internal recognition as a valuable technical resource
- Demonstrate proficiency in project management fundamentals, including scheduling, cost controls, and client communication
- Maintain regular communication with clients and regulatory agencies, managing expectations and ensuring transparency throughout projects
- Report project status and progress to program managers, facilitating effective decision-making and resource allocation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in environmental and engineering consulting, with a focus on remedial actions and munitions response projects
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite Products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors
- Proficient in writing project work plans, health and safety plans, and other necessary documentation
- 40-hour OSHA certification and current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
- Willingness to travel up to 25 to 50 percent of the time to project sites, as required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- Additional professional certifications such as M.S., P.E., P.G., or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in managing and executing environmental remediation construction projects
- Previous involvement in preparing or contributing to project proposals, showcasing strong business development skills
