The Property Manager oversees a portfolio of residential properties. They are primary contact for the owner/client and work with other teams in accounting, resident coordination and leasing to effect the best outcomes for the owner. The manager supervises work orders and is the main point person for emergencies , move ins, move outs, and move outs. Property managers have a strong understanding of fair housing laws for their area and the local market in general. This position is in Kansas City, MO.
Essential Functions
Main clients point of contact
Manages a portfolio of 150-200 homes, depending on property quality, density of units, and some market factors
Works in a team environment with accounting teams, resident teams, and leasing teams.
Main job duty is to maximize client returns while maintaining company revenue and margin objectives
Review and oversee the maintenance of the properties and responsible for property visits, inspections and legal compliance of the properties they manage.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Two or more years in property management
Must have a valid driver's license
Knowledge of property management software i.e.; Propertyware, Z Inspector,
Must have strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior customer service to all parties.
Self-starter attitude and ability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments, exercise judgment, and take ownership of projects in the absence of direct supervision
Team player with strong work ethic, pro-active orientation, who can anticipate needs, is assertive, and highly accountable, with a mature and positive attitude.
