Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer for a position based in Arlington, TX. This position is for a Quality Engineer supporting the PAC-3 Sustainment programs. This is one labor grade above an associate engineer.
Responsibilities Include:
Individual should be a self-starter, with an attention to detail, who can work autonomously with minimal direction in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries.
MFC offers the vital capabilities needed to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments.
Quality engineering is seeking candidates to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that provide the best product for our customers, both domestically and internationally.
Quality Engineers at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control act as an integrated member of the product sustainment teams. In a culture of continuous improvement our department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency. Working with an integrated team, which includes customer, suppliers and other functional personnel, non-conformances are identified, analyzed, and resolved in a timely manner.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $64,400 - $123,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

- Technical Engineering degree from an accredited college in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Previous quality experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
- Thorough understanding of engineering requirements and inspection methods
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming Material (Material Review Board)
- Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products and in Quality Management processes / capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
- Experience working with Government customers
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and all other stakeholders
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- Ability to travel (up to 25%)

- Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply chain, and Customers to ensure quality standards are implemented and being met throughout the product sustainment process.
- Provide support for root cause and corrective / preventative actions.
- Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.
- Perform data integrity reviews and investigations.
- Drive closure to nonconformance reports.
- Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
- Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
- Work closely with both Internal and External Customers to ensure adequate acceptance of product.

- Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers (including acceptance of product / testing)
- Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems as well as AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning
- Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment
- Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification
- Familiarity with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment / Property during field, ground, or operational tests
