Position Description:
The Regulatory Technician assists in executing complex and varied tasks related to support of the Colorado based team. This Tech is accountable for ensuring accuracy, completeness, and processing of all compliance data through knowledge, application, and coordination with various regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated regulatory compliance expertise in upstream oil & gas operations
- Experience with Horizontal well permitting, and reporting
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
- Ability to build and navigate relationships with government agencies and internal stakeholders, to include the ability to create reports and presentations and appropriately influence at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, Visio
- Attention to detail is essential in this role
- +5 years of oil and gas experience
- Experience with TRRC /OCC/OTC and other websites
- used for title research
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and handle several ongoing projects at one time
- Experience with TRRC Rule 86, Rule 37 and rule 38
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; will also consider work experience with position specific skills.
- 5+ years regulatory experience.
- Regulatory information resource facilitating efficient flow of documents required for uninterrupted field operations.
- Requires knowledge of petro-technical terms.
- Requires knowledge of regulatory and permitting processes specifically for Texas.
- Anticipates and proactively reacts to mitigate problems.
- Requires advanced computer skills and knowledge of a variety of discipline specific software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well autonomously or in a team setting.
