REMOTE CONTRACT - Software Development Team Lead - .NET

Contract pay rate: $65-$75/hour

We are a non-profit organization based in Oakland, CA. We are looking for a talented Lead Software Developer to join our team immediately. In this role, you will lead a team of software developers in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. You will be responsible for collaborating with other members of the technology team to ensure that software development projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

This is a hands-on coding position, this individual will be a role model for the rest of the team - it'll be 60-70% coding and 30-40% leading/coordinating.

An ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, is excited about technology, and has a solid understanding of programming principles.

This role is remote but may require occasional travel to Oakland, CA. This is a long-term contract.

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading a team of developers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications using .NET and Azure technologies
• Collaborating with stakeholders, project managers, and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Developing and maintaining software using agile development methodologies, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices
• Working with the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
• Participating in code reviews, providing feedback to team members, and ensuring code meets industry standards
• Ensuring the team follows project timelines and deliverables, provide progress updates to stakeholders, and adjust plans as necessary
• Troubleshooting and debugging software issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions
  
  

What You Need for this Position

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in software development using .NET and Azure technologies
• Experience leading a team of developers, managing project timelines, and working in an agile development environment
• Strong knowledge of C# and ASP.NET Core, with experience in Azure technologies such as Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles, including SOLID, DRY, and KISS
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and team members
