Remote Quality Engineering Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineering (QE) Manager with strong SQL skills to lead our QE team and drive the quality assurance efforts across our organization. The QE Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality processes, managing a team of QE engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement in QA practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of QE engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive quality assurance processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
• Define and implement testing strategies, plans, and frameworks to support the development lifecycle and meet project requirements.
• Utilize SQL expertise to develop and execute complex database queries and scripts for data validation and verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to establish clear quality goals, metrics, and KPIs.
• Drive the adoption of test automation and continuous integration practices to improve testing efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Analyze and report on quality metrics, test results, and trends, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions as needed.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new testing tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of quality engineering.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering or software testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in writing complex queries and scripts for data validation and verification.
• Experience in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in quality engineering practices and processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture is a plus.
