Remote VP of Software QA (Mortgage)

Responsibilities

Kforce's client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Remote Vice President of Quality Assurance (QA) to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will possess a financial services background, a strong executive presence, capable of deep technical engagement when necessary. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the QA department, aligning with the company's overall objectives and technological advancements
• Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies to increase test coverage across front-end, back-end, API, RPG, web/PHP, and EDW environments
• Drive the modernization of QA practices, including the adoption of new test automation tools and technologies, with a focus on Robot and IBM-related automation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure QA processes fit within the company culture while maintaining high standards
• Mentor and guide the QA team, particularly the Director of QA, to foster professional growth and development
• Oversee the implementation of QA initiatives, ensuring seamless integration into production and strategic planning for future expansions
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the QA department, balancing tactical and strategic responsibilities to achieve optimal performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 15-20 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with a blend of tactical and strategic expertise
• Experience managing a large, diverse QA team, including contractors and offshore resources
• Proven track record of increasing test coverage and improving QA methodologies
• Strong understanding of test automation tools and technologies, particularly in IBM-related environments
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Excellent mentorship and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop team members
• A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution
• Demonstrated ability to lead and modernize QA practices within a complex technical environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
