Overview

RTI’s Center for Education Evaluation and Research (CEER), has an immediate opening for a Research Education Analyst. Under the direction of Senior Manager or Director, this individual will serve as task leader for project activities in the development and delivery of technical assistance resources and activities for the purposes of improving services for adult learners, including multilingual learners.

CEER serves its clients by conducting evaluations and research to provide the rigorous evidence needed to influence policy and practice, transform systems, and improve outcomes, particularly for students of color and other historically disenfranchised communities. As a team, we conduct evaluations and data analysis; report our results; and support technical assistance, survey research, data collection, and technology development with other centers within RTI’s Education Practice Area. Our clients include government agencies at all levels, foundations, and other nonprofit organizations in the United States.

This position can be based in Research Triangle Park, NC; any of RTI’s other U.S. offices; or remote from anywhere within the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Task Leader or support member in the design, development, and delivery of technical assistance resources and activities.
  • Work collaboratively across project team to brainstorm, develop, and deliver technical assistance activities.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings to provide project updates and communicate challenges and successes.
  • Author (in whole or in part) technical assistance resources and reports.
  • Design and develop interactive in-person, virtual, and hybrid technical assistance activities.
  • Review materials developed by other team members and subject matter experts to refine and finalize for specific audiences.
  • Present on the project and project activities via webinar, workshops, and conferences.
  • Conduct landscape scans, literature reviews, and other research activities.
  • Contribute to proposals and business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in adult education settings, or Master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in adult education settings, or equivalent combination of education and experience in adult education settings.
  • Knowledge of and at least one year of experience with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title II-funded system, which may include:
    • Delivery of adult education programming, including Integrated Education and Training and Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education.
    • Development of partnerships with workforce and other partners.
    • Delivery of adult education programming in corrections.
    • Understanding of the role that digital literacy and other employability skills plays in adult learners’ success.
  • Expertise in adult education and/or second language acquisition theory and methodology.
  • Expertise in serving adult multilingual learners using an immigrant integration approach.
  • Experience supporting professional learning or technical assistance activities.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfort using technology such as Zoom as well as the ability to help others in its use.
  • Ability to communication clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize oneself and project teams.
  • Ability to juggle multiple activities and projects.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
