JPA seeks a research manager to support our mental health work providing therapy to children, adults, and families, along with trauma-informed consultation to teachers and other programming offered in schools and in neighborhood clinics. This role will report to the CEO and work closely with JPA’s clinical and management teams. (Best of all? It is a hybrid position with 2 days a week working from home!)
Major responsibilities of this position include:
Articulating theories of change in JPA programs
Examining (quantitatively and qualitatively) how JPA services and programs are
implemented and using this information to inform CQI responses.
Establishing protocols and practices for data management
Analyzing data currently collected to inform therapeutic practices and programs
Conducting literature reviews to help JPA stay abreast of mental health topics relevant
to its practices and programs
Developing new evaluation tools and models in collaboration with the clinical team
Conducting surveys and interviews with staff and partners to gain insights into JPA’s
programs and recommending changes and improvements to our data collection efforts
Working closely with management and clinical teams to ensure continuous quality
improvement and practical solutions to measure the impact of our work.
Supporting the Chief Development Officer and Grants Manager in the preparation of
grant applications.
Creating data visualizations, executive summaries, and other deliverables that interpret
and disseminate outcomes and key findings from ongoing evaluation efforts, research
studies, and special initiatives.
Promoting organizational understanding of the data and the impact of its programs and
services.
Basic requirements:
Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, Public Service/Administration, Education, Social Work). 3 years experience in an evaluation role. (Experience in an applied research or program setting preferred.)
Proficiency in qualitative and mixed methods research design and analysis.
Proficiency in statistical concepts and analytical software such as SPSS,STATA, R, and/or SAS.
Experience working in a school-based setting and/or with children would be preferred.
