The Retail Operations Workforce Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the workforce operations within the YETI retail organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet customer demand, maximize productivity, and achieve business objectives. The Retail Operations Workforce Manager will collaborate with store managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement workforce management strategies, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement workforce management strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation across YETI retail stores.
  • Collaborate with store managers, Talent teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business objectives, customer demand patterns, and staffing requirements.
  • Utilize StoreForce [workforce management software] and other tools to forecast staffing needs, optimize staffing schedules, and monitor labor costs.
  • Analyze historical data, sales forecasts, and other relevant metrics to accurately forecast staffing needs and determine optimal staffing levels.
  • Coordinate and communicate census changes, and StoreForce updates.
  • Ensure Store Teams are in compliance with labor laws and company policies when creating staffing schedules.
  • Monitor employee productivity and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing coaching or training as needed.
  • Conduct regular reviews of scheduling practices, identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to optimize labor utilization.
  • Track and analyze labor costs, overtime, and other workforce-related expenses, providing insights and recommendations for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with store managers and cross-functional teams to identify and address staffing gaps and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers, employees, and cross-functional stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure alignment of workforce management strategies with business goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in workforce management, and leverage them to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and support to store managers and employees on workforce management processes, tools, and policies.
  • Generate reports and present key workforce management metrics and insights to senior management, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in strategic workforce planning initiatives, providing input and recommendations based on workforce management expertise.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within workforce management systems, troubleshooting any issues and collaborating with IT teams for resolution

Qualifications And Attributes

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of proven experience in workforce management, preferably in a multi-unit retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce management principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in workforce management software and tools, such as scheduling, time and attendance, and labor forecasting systems. StoreForce Experience is preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address workforce management challenges.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to travel to different retail locations as required
