Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Revenue Cycle Manager at our location in Royal Oak, MI. The Revenue Cycle Manager advises executive-level management and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle process within the organization. This includes managing billing operations, optimizing revenue collection, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing strategies to improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise billing staff and ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies, government payers, and patients
  • Monitor billing processes to identify and resolve issues such as claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve billing accuracy and reduce revenue leakage
  • Analyze revenue trends, payer contracts, and reimbursement rates to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as accounts receivable (AR) days, clean claim rate, and collection efficiency
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify areas of improvement and recommend actionable solutions to senior management
  • Monitor revenue cycle metrics to track progress toward goals and objectives

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Revenue Cycle Management and Practice Management
  • Experience in handling denials and medical coding
  • At least one year of demonstrated AthenaOne experience
  • Knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
  • Relevant certification in Revenue Cycle Management or Medical Coding is a plus
