Job Title: RN Nurse Practice Educator

Location: Milford , DE

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Duration: 9 Weeks Contract

Pay Rate: $62/hr

Your pay is based on Local or Travel position. Travel is residence >50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities

  • Educational Program Development:
    • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive educational programs for nursing staff based on identified learning needs and organizational goals.
    • Create curriculum and training materials that incorporate current evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Utilize various teaching methods, including lectures, simulations, workshops, and e-learning.
  • Staff Training and Development:
    • Conduct orientation and onboarding programs for new nursing staff to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.
    • Provide ongoing education and training to current staff to maintain and enhance their clinical competencies.
    • Offer specialized training for new procedures, technologies, or changes in practice guidelines.
  • Clinical Mentorship and Support:
    • Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, offering guidance and support in clinical practice.
    • Facilitate clinical skills assessments and provide constructive feedback to promote professional growth.
    • Assist in the development of individualized learning plans for staff members needing additional support.
  • Quality Improvement and Compliance:
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
    • Ensure that nursing practices align with current standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work collaboratively with nursing leadership, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to identify educational needs and priorities.
    • Communicate effectively with staff at all levels to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, committees, and professional organizations to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of educational activities, staff participation, and competency assessments.
    • Prepare reports and documentation related to educational programs and outcomes.
    • Manage resources, including educational materials, equipment, and budgets.
Working Conditions

  • The position may require flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate staff training needs.
  • The role involves a combination of office work and clinical practice settings.
  • The Nurse Practice Educator must be able to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment and handle multiple priorities.
