Safety Manager

My client is a leading general contracting firm specializing in Bridge & Structure, Airport, and Rail/Mass Transit projects across the US. Our commitment to excellence and safety is paramount, and we pride ourselves on delivering projects that meet the highest industry standards. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enforce our comprehensive safety programs across multiple construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety management and a passion for ensuring the well-being of all workers on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Lead safety training programs for all employees, including new hire orientations, tool box talks, and ongoing safety education.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain and analyze safety records and statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety protocols into project planning and execution.
• Ensure all safety equipment and materials are up to date and readily available on-site.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related issues and concerns on all job sites.
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards in bridge & structure, airport, and rail/mass transit construction.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations and implement effective safety solutions.
• Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
