Cone Denim®, a global leader in denim authenticity and innovation, is looking for a Sales Assistant to work in support of its LA sales region. In this position, you will work directly with and in support of the LA Account Manager to service customers, coordinate with product development and maintain information and inventory of current sales tools and samples. Cone Denim operates as part of Elevate Textiles, a global portfolio of advanced, high quality products and mission critical textile solutions under the brand names of Cone Denim, Burlington, American & Efird, Gutermann and Safety Components.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities of a Sales Assistant include managing general office matters, preparation for off-site meetings, fielding customer calls, follow up correspondence and delivery of samples to customers, maintaining inventory of sales tools and garments and maintaining master price list and update order status report. The Sales Assistant will also assume some direct sales responsibilities and assist in preparing sales presentations and organizing products for sales meetings.
The position offers opportunities to be a part of a dynamic sales team in a growing a strategic sales region, develop relationships with LA apparel brands, attend customer meetings and interact with the denim product development process.
Required Skills
Qualified candidates must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and be a self-starter to work independently in a small office. A basic understanding of textile apparel and industry and understand of working in a global environment are preferred. Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
