CENTRA is committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring every voice is heard and contributing to our collective success. As we scale our operations, we seek a seasoned Sales Director to spearhead our sales initiatives, cultivate significant customer relationships, and drive revenue growth. 


Key Responsibilities: 


Strategic Sales Leadership: Act as the pioneer sales hire, leading the establishment and execution of comprehensive sales strategies tailored to new markets, customer segments and strategic accounts. 


Customer Acquisition and Management: Develop and sustain high-value relationships with regional Network Service Providers (NSPs) and key enterprise clients, ensuring their needs are met through customized data center solutions. 


Sales and Prospecting: Initiate and drive the process of prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales deals, focusing on colocation, interconnection, and IXP services. 


Market Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to refine go-to-market strategies, delivering insights and strategic recommendations to enhance business and product growth. 


Performance and Reporting: Manage sales funnel activities, ensure accurate forecasting, and consistently achieve targeted sales objectives. 


Minimum Qualifications: 


Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of robust sales experience in data center and interconnection domains, with a proven record of targeting and securing high-level enterprise accounts. 


Leadership: Can work independently as the first sales hire in a startup environment, set goals, and execute development plans. 


Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate across teams, effectively managing a wide range of planned and spontaneous projects and priorities within our startup environment. 


Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling customer presentations and engage effectively with C-level executives. 


Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of technical sales processes; adept in using sales tools and applications for managing sales operations. 


Adaptability and Drive: Highly self-motivated, performance-driven, and willing to adapt to evolving market conditions. 


Preferred Skills: 

Experience working with national network service providers (NSP), cloud services providers, content and/or regional NSPs and managing large, strategic customer accounts. 


Expertise in selling value on advanced colocation and interconnections (including IXP) services. 


Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. 


Work Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel as necessary to meet business needs.
