Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant preferably with a CPA certification to join our finance team. This role involves managing the company's accounting processes, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights into financial performance. The Senior Accountant will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Month-End Close: Manage the month-end closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights into performance.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Tax Compliance: Work with tax advisors to ensure timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns. Stay updated on changes in tax regulations.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the AP/AR process, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and deferred revenue.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and financial controls. Implement new procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to management to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants and support staff.

Qualifications:

  • CPA Certification (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS standards
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing or leading accounting teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • Advanced knowledge of tax compliance and financial audits
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
