We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in West Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, and will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial health and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports, including budget variance analysis and financial forecasts.
  • General Ledger Management:
  • Oversee and manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
  • Compliance and Audits:
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Coordinate and support external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Tax and Regulatory Filings:
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
  • Support the implementation of new accounting systems or upgrades.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including mentoring and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, general ledger management, and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software implementations.
