In this role, you will report directly to the Controller, and your contributions will be pivotal to our finance team’s collaborative efforts with other departments within the organization.

Job Description

We are in search of a highly organized Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Utilizing the Acumatica general ledger, Basware P2P and Site Tracker systems, this role involves the day-to-day management of accounting processes, conduct financial reporting and analysis for designated functional areas, and collaborate closely with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer to implement accounting systems and internal controls.

The Senior Accounting Manager will also be responsible for leading and developing the other team members with a hands-on approach daily. Your contribution in this role will be instrumental in maintaining the financial integrity and efficiency of our organization.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes for designated functional areas.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into financial systems and document business transactions.
  • Assist with preparation and review of financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Oversee cash management activities to ensure optimal liquidity and cash flow management.
  • Review all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Liaison with accounting firms in the calculation of IBR and ongoing reporting for leases.
  • Handle monthly sales and use tax reporting for various states
  • Coordinate with the tax department for federal, state, and other tax filings, including K-1 and K-3 forms.
  • Assist with year-end audit deliverables and requests.
  • Support Sarbanes Oxley documentation and test requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all Tillman Infrastructure policies and procedures.
  • Manage, mentor and train staff, and delegate duties to meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies.
  • Consult with Controller and Chief Financial Officer to identify accounting issues and implement procedures that ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the accounting department and company objectives.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA and/or master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years accounting/public accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Well organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Ability to read and analyze financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions
