As a Senior Analyst, you will help to drive the success and optimization of our internal business planning and marketing forecasts. Using your experience in data analysis, forecasting, modeling and problem-solving skills, you will play a key role in partnering with a variety of internal teams to drive valuable insights and guidance that help shape our marketing strategy. In this role, your forecasts will directly impact the budgeting, strategy, and implementation of our marketing dollars to help drive future business growth.
What you’ll do as a Senior Analyst
We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. As a regulated gaming company, you may be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 94,100.00 USD - 117,600.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related sills, experience, and relevant education or training. As a Senior Analyst, you will help to drive the success and optimization of our internal business planning and marketing forecasts. Using your experience in data analysis, forecasting, modeling and problem-solving skills, you will play a key role in partnering with a variety of internal teams to drive valuable insights and guidance that help shape our marketing strategy. In this role, your forecasts will directly impact the budgeting, strategy, and implementation of our marketing dollars to help drive future business growth.
What you’ll do as a Senior Analyst
- Utilize forecasting and analysis techniques to measure and predict new customer acquisition.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Finance, Sportsbook and Casino Operations, Research, and Customer Experience to identify key drivers and areas of risk for our marketing forecasts.
- Aid in the development and creation of tools and automation for stakeholders.
- Conduct deep dive analysis on large and complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Use strong Tableau skills to create and maintain tracking of key operational metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Be a general strategic problem solver capable of partnering across job functions to evaluate and recommend the best course of action.
- Mentor and support other analysts in the team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- At least 3 years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or another relevant discipline.
- Proven expertise in forecasting and data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with Snowflake or similar data warehousing platforms.
- Model building experience with R or Python is considered a plus.
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools, preferably Tableau, to create insightful dashboards and reports.
- Ability to derive insights from large datasets and present findings to cross-functional audiences.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
