Senior Manager, Analytics and Strategy (Hybrid / Remote)

As a Senior Manager of Analytics and Strategy, you would support strategy and analytics as part of the marketing department at Advanced Bionics. This is an on-site (Valencia, CA) opportunity for leading key projects support global business success such as strategic planning, market modelling, competitive analysis, and M&A activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Business strategic planning, commercial strategy & pricing, global market models and support marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Manage and Lead annual company-wide business strategic planning process.
  • This will include aligning on the overall process and strategy with VP of Upstream Marketing, Division President, and Sales leaders.
  • Lead the process and engagement across subject matter experts across functions in order to perform necessary analysis and create strategies that roll up to a market model.
  • Lead commercial strategy and related projects, partnering with various stakeholders and sponsors and teams.
  • Manage and lead the competitive intelligence to identify, analyze, and evaluate market opportunities with strong potential for customer/consumer value creation and provide framework for evaluation.
  • Use competitive intelligence analyses to provide strategic insights and recommendations at PSG for product-market fit assessments of product roadmap.
  • Maintain view of competitive market and product-market fit
  • Partner with and lead efforts for the Franchise Leadership Teams (Diagnostics, Internals, Externals, and Digital) by maintaining market models that support strategies.
  • Partners with Sonova Investor Relations and Advanced Bionics CFO Analyze to interpret analyst reports.
  • Develop Global Market and competitive pricing strategy
  • Understand market and competitive pricing trends and work with cross-geo and external best practices to drive increased pricing strategy on a global basis.
  • Spearhead creation and measurement of commercial excellence metrics to help identify key trends relating to commercial success (financial data to put together simple tracking reports) . This data will focus but will not be limited tracking of pricing among various global geographies and market segments.
  • Lead global market modeling and reporting
  • Assess internal and external data sources to represent AB performance relative to the market and key competitors both in terms of acute and long-term performance (example: analyst reports, purchased market reports, and internally collected market data).
  • Create and maintain simple to interpret discounted cash flow models for major projects.
  • Develop business analyses related to KPIs, business analytics; data trending, forecasting
  • Use PowerBI, and Advanced Excel to analyze data
  • Develop and launch market research surveys including qualitative and quantitative surveys with customers and third-party market research vendors.
  • Lead and support marketing initiatives
  • Manage marketing functional metrics and drive assessment of key marketing initiatives – Own Daily Management process for Marketing and ensure that each Marketing subfunction is appropriately tracking actions and measuring success with appropriate metrics.
  • Coordinate with global sales managers for assessment of market data
  • Support analysis for M&A activities (DCF, enterprise value, market share and penetration modeling, etc.)
  • Other Duties As Assigned.

  • 10+ years of experience


Professional Competencies

  • Class 3 implantable device experience a must, ideally brings both commercial and technical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical roles such as consulting or other strategy oriented jobs


Language(s)/ Level

  • English/ Proficient


A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $107,200/yr – $160,800/yr (based on location). This role is also bonus eligible.
