About The Team

The Finance & Strategy team is responsible for accelerating the growth of our business by identifying and implementing new opportunities and solutions. We partner with teams across the company to improve the profitability, scalability and defensibility of our business model. We are looking for people who can model the future and collaborate to help carry projects from conception through execution.

About The Role

We are looking for someone who can help manage the US P&L for the Platform business and partner cross functionally with Strategy & Operations and Corporate Finance teams to help ensure accuracy and consistency of information. In addition, the candidate will help prepare materials for Drive business reviews and have the opportunity to share perspectives and discuss insights with the business partners. Another important aspect of the role would be to help improve processes and reporting related to key aspects of our business.

This role is hybrid with some time expected in-office and some time remote.

  • Support DoorDash Drive - a rapidly growing and unique business for White Label Delivery Fulfillment
  • Tracking performance of the business, identifying trends, making recommendations on tradeoffs between growth & profitability for the Non Restaurant categories including Grocery, Convenience, Pharmacy, Alcohol, Retail and more
  • Support Deal Desk on new deals and renegotiations across all verticals that are in-flight or earlier in our pipeline.
  • Analyze historical DoorDash Volume, Sales and Demand data and trends using financial models and statistical techniques
  • Use findings from historical data to prepare forecasts for future quarters (Quarterly Forecast), years (Annual Forecast) and Long Range Planning (5 Year Forecast) using Spreadsheets and Data Management Programs
  • Will work cross-functionally with other finance teams, ops, BI and partner extensively with Strategy & Operations including the Vice President of Non Restaurants, Drive to allow for informed business decisions
  • Work with the DoorDash Accounting team to analyze historical Profit & Loss (P&L) data and manage month end close processes
  • Identify, build, and maintain scalable processes

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
