We are seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join the Internal Audit team based in our San Francisco office. This is a hybrid role so our ideal candidate is located in the Bay Area but there will be flexibility around remote work. In this role, you will partner with members of the business to help support the accuracy and reliability of reporting and compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. This position is integral to the successful completion of internal auditing and consulting activities, as well as assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of LS&Co.’s risk management and control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and execution of internal audits to evaluate internal controls related to financial risks, operational activities, and compliance requirements
  • Perform in-depth audit reviews, reflecting a strong knowledge of financial and operational activities, and the business systems which support the business activities
  • Perform ad hoc projects that include investigations and process reviews at the request of management
  • Monitor timely remediation of audit findings and assist with the preparation of quarterly status reports for the Global Audit Leadership Team
  • Supervise and review work papers of less experienced engagement team members (internal and external)
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of audit findings and recommendations to audit sponsors
  • Participate as requested in driving the department’s activities, including the Risk Assessment, Enterprise Risk Management, Quality Assurance processes, and employee engagement
  • Assist in the evaluation of the internal control environment and financial reporting for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Prioritize findings based on significance and impact, and collaborate with business partners to develop management action plans for remediation
  • Identify opportunities to complete audit work more efficiently, and apply new audit tools and techniques
  • Stay current on developments and best practices in the audit profession, industry, and within the company and apply this knowledge to more effectively plan and perform audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business or equivalent work experience
  • CPA or CIA (or working towards certification)
  • 5+ years of financial / operational audit experience (4+ years if previous experience with a Big 4 CPA firm)
  • Experience with a Big 4 CPA Firm and/or a large, multinational, retail, consumer products or apparel company is helpful
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance programs or equivalent
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO – integrated framework
  • Experience with FCPA compliance engagements, UK Bribery Act, and / or fraud investigations
  • Experience using tools such as Hyperion, SAP, ACL / Diligent Auditbond, and Workiva W-Desk is helpful
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on assignments in North and Latin America, and remain in the field for up to three consecutive weeks to complete fieldwork / projects
  • Ability to travel globally (if needed) without restriction

The expected starting salary range for this role is $57,800 to $91,200. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
