About the team + role

The Benchmarking team is a diverse group of professionals, who form part of the Corporate Strategy team and work across four major areas: Product/Market, Finance/Investor Relations, Internal Operations, and Customer Intelligence. We collaborate with teams across the organization to assess all aspects of Robinhood’s performance and drive decision making on our highest-level strategic priorities. The Benchmarking and Strategy Senior Associate will focus on the product/market vertical and hold a broad range of responsibilities, from research and analytics, to report writing and program management.

As a Benchmarking and Strategy Senior Associate, your day-to-day will include a mix of rolling responsibilities (e.g. analyzing market data, identifying and monitoring competitive trends) and completing deep dives on questions of interest (e.g. evaluating market opportunities). In joining the team, you will support our efforts to understand our market position, contextualize company performance, and improve decision making.

The ideal candidate will be an effective problem solver, who can conduct research, analyze information, communicate insights and step up to own increasingly complex work over time. The Benchmarking and Strategy Senior Associate will also require strong program and stakeholder management skills, as their role will see them partner with a broad range of stakeholders.

It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations. What You’ll Do

  • Research and Analytics: Source, structure, and analyze data to identify opportunities.
  • Strategic Thinking: Explore new opportunities and consolidate findings into data-driven conclusions that support strategic decision making.
  • Technical: Take ownership of a set of analytical tools, becoming the team’s go-to expert for market intelligence.
  • Program Management: Drive complex programs, align scope with cross functional partners and present results to team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Industry and Product Expertise: Become a go-to expert for your work streams, keeping the business up to date on competitor products, industry/competitor trends, best practices, and innovations.
  • Navigating Ambiguity: Distill complex business problems into their essential elements and prioritize work that helps Robinhood improve and grow.

What You Bring

  • 2-5 years of related experience, ideally at a management consulting firm, investment firm, or a strategy role at a technology company.
  • Robust qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and strong business acumen.
  • Ownership mentality, be creative in your approach, and know how to get things done.
  • Self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and a fast-changing work environment.
  • Strong communicator with broad facilitation skills; able to influence decision making and engage audiences across levels and functions.
  • Advanced Excel skills

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)

$136,000—$160,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$120,000—$141,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL)

$106,000—$125,000 USD
