Overview

Eagle Eye Networks is looking for a talented copywriter to create marketing collateral that drives results and compelling content to increase engagement, brand awareness, and ultimately bring in leads. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who’s great at multitasking and can customize messaging to different audiences while working on multiple projects/campaigns under aggressive timelines.

As the marketing writer, you will work collaboratively with designers, product, PR/Comms, demand generation, and partner marketing teams to create messaging across multiple channels, including digital, print, email, video, white papers, blogs, postcards, event collateral, and more. A background in content marketing is definitely a plus.

A love for grammar and ability to convey value in a clear, concise manner is important, as well as the ability to stay true to an established brand voice and tone. This is not a technical writing position — this role is focused on engaging end users and resellers who know our products, as well as establishing our brand with those who are not familiar with us.

This is an individual contributor role based in Austin, TX with the requirement to be in the office several days per week.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit and proof copy for marketing campaigns, print and digital ads, emails, white papers, social media, and case studies
• Establish and maintain a brand voice. Refine brand voice guidelines to ensure a distinct, cohesive brand identity across all communication channels
• Create a compelling copy, both short and long-form, including ads, emails, blogs, video scripts, internal support materials, and more
• Edit or develop copy for accuracy and brand voice
• Conduct thorough research on market trends, using internal and external sources, to tailor copy to the needs and pain points of our target audiences
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously to deliver projects on time without sacrificing on quality
• Create accurate copy about new products and features and develop market positioning and compelling narratives that drive business
• Adhere to Eagle Eye Networks brand guidelines and messaging
• Collaborate cross functionally with marketing, sales, customer success, and product teams
• Estimate and deliver projects on deadline
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proof content and marketing collateral: print, digital ads, landing pages, emails, white papers, blogs, social media, case studies, etc.
• Deliver best-in-class copy that drives business across multiple projects on time without sacrificing quality
• Creates sales sequence messaging to drive deeper engagement with prospects, build sales pipeline, and book demos
• Establish, maintain, and evolve a brand voice with guidelines to ensure a distinct, cohesive brand identity across all communication channels
• Concept and execute to build compelling short- and long-form content and promote it across multiple channels
• Review content to ensure brand-specific style and consistency, SEO keyword optimization, and technical accuracy to deliver an asset that meets marketing objectives
• Conduct thorough research on market trends, using internal and external sources to tailor copy to the needs and pain points of our target audiences
• Adhere to Eagle Eye Networks brand guidelines and messaging
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, customer success, and product teams
• Estimate and deliver projects on deadline
  
  

Experience

• 8+ years of professional long- and short-form writing experience
• A portfolio/writing samples that are clear and concise, engaging and informative
• Exceptional writing skills (original content and copyediting)
• Meticulous attention to detail, file organization, and grammar nerd
• Ability to understand, explain, and promote a technical product
• Avid researcher – You are good at doing secondary research
• A great editor – You’re a good proofreader with the ability to identify areas for improvement in others’ drafts through actionable feedback
• Skilled multi-tasker – You can juggle and complete complex projects under deadlines with ease
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent
• Bonus points for:
• Background in content marketing and strategy
• Familiarity with CMS software like WordPress and Elementor
• Experience working at a global or multi-lingual company
• Proficiency in writing scripts or working with a video team
