Job Description

The Global Talent Management team creates the insights, strategies & practices required to unlock the full potential of our teams and talent, and ensure we have the leadership needed for the future of Visa. This role is for a builder, and change agent… and for someone who is passionate about creating a high-performance culture at Visa. It is for a high potential and proven leader who is motivated by high visibility work that impacts all Visa employees, and for someone who has depth of expertise designing performance and development practices at a large global organization.

This Sr. Director role in the Talent Management team will lead the evolution of our performance, development and promotional practices for all employees, and lead our manager effectiveness strategy. The incumbent will ensure we have the definitions, frameworks, tools and processes in place to improve and drive accountability for performance and development of our employees and managers across the enterprise, with equality at the center.

The incumbent will report to the VP, Global Talent Management and will be a key member of the Global Talent Management Leadership team.

Essential Functions

  • As a Leadership Team member on the global talent management team, help to shape the talent management strategy and roadmap.
  • Continue to enhance Visa’s Performance and Development practices inclusive of OKRs, Quarterly Conversations, Annual Review, Individual Development Objectives and Managing Low Performance.
  • Drive improvements to our Global Expanded Role Promotions process to improve the manager and People Business Partner experience while driving continued fairness and transparency.
  • Build the narrative and launch plan for our Manager Effectiveness strategy inclusive of role expectations, the Manager180 Upward Feedback Process, Manager Hub, and our Visa University development offerings.
  • Lead a high-performing team of direct reports and multiple x-functional project teams to enhance the design of all our talent practices and enable our PBP and Leaders to execute with excellence.
  • Develop metrics and Key Results for how we will measure impact and track progress quarterly against our performance, development, manager effectiveness and promotion practices.
  • Lead Visa University team members to improve our approach to manager and all-employee enablement.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of relevant experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA) preferred. 4 years of leading a team designing talent management practices at a large, global company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with People Leader strategies and performance management at a global organization
  • Strong knowledge of talent management research and benchmarks
  • Mature leadership style with ability to motivate multiple x-fucntional teams
  • Self-directed, process-oriented individual with strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Highly pragmatic style. Quick and adaptive changes in decisions and course of action.
  • Thorough and detailed analysis of problems to produce optimal decisions focused on very specific goal
  • Proven ability to lead large scale and global change efforts
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, influence key stakeholders, and build consensus around decision-making and problem-solving
  • Strong oral/written communication skills and highly collaborative
  • Breadth of understanding & experience across all Talent COE sub-functions

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 160,100 to 208,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
