Our esteemed client, a leading multinational enterprise in the materials sector renowned for its extensive assets spanning various geographical territories, seeks a seasoned Senior Instrument and Controls Engineer. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of instrumentation and control systems, leveraging your technical expertise in PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems to ensure operational efficiency and reliability while staying compliant with industry regulations.

Focus:

• System Engineering: Take charge of devising, establishing, and executing system engineering strategies to boost operational effectiveness.
• Technical Expertise: Provide specialized knowledge in instrumentation and control systems, including PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements in all instrumentation and control initiatives.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate instrumentation and control efforts and address operational challenges.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all instrumentation and control projects comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Budget Management: Work alongside finance teams to effectively manage instrumentation and control project budgets and resource allocation.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing instrumentation and control systems, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent; Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license is advantageous, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering roles, particularly emphasizing instrumentation and controls.
• Prior leadership experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in Plant Information Systems or other database storage and retrieval systems.
• Expertise in delivering insightful guidance and recommendations regarding Instrumentation and Control Systems throughout all stages of project development.
• Demonstrated capability in aiding safety evaluations and ensuring compliance with safety protocols to meet regulatory requirements.
• Experience in contributing to the development of company-wide standards for instrumentation and controls discipline.
• Skill in creating comprehensive and precise requirements and guidelines for instrumentation aligned with project objectives.
• Ability to ensure conformity with industry regulations and standards while producing and reviewing technical documentation.
