Hybrid working role – 3 days in office/2 days remotely**

This opportunity calls for a design-savvy and self-starting Interior Designer who will manage the process from design concept and space planning for residential spaces plus real estate sales offices and lifestyle centers as well as additional commercial and residential projects for the company. This individual will oversee a small Interior Design team and ensure the implementation of design concepts meet the scope of work and are delivered on time and within budget.
Job Functions
Create design programs for Spec homes, including furniture placement and selection, merchandising, textile selection, lighting, accessories, artwork, etc., while ensuring designs meet the objectives of each project with respect to each individual market.
Space planning and Interior design for Model Homes, Sales Centers, temporary Lifestyle Centers, and Stay & Plays. Work alongside the marketing team to ensure designs meet the needs of the intended use of space.
Color selections for model homes within model rows, ensuring each model home is unique and showcases a variety of design options.
Quality control for the Interior Design team projects. Lead projects from inception to completion while demonstrating exceptional design skills. Ensure design installations meet the objectives and scope of work for each project.
Maintain relationships and negotiate contracts with outside vendors and furniture suppliers.
Maintain and manage budgets and schedules for each project.
Oversight of inventory and warehousing to ensure timely deliveries and installations.
Stay up to date on design trends and competition within the markets we serve.
Other related duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in interior design and architecture preferred
5+ years of residential interior design experience
Design and technical capabilities
Ability to read, interpret and understand architectural drawings
Software proficiency in AutoCAD; 3D modeling experience - Lumion platform is highly preferred.
Ability to prioritize scope of work while assisting Interior Design Team.
Ability to Multi-task within a deadline driven environment.
Ability to be flexible and change directions quickly based on the needs of the projects and scope of work.
Have a sense of urgency within a high volume fast paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate among a wide variety of audiences
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Travel as necessary
