We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to work for our Downtown Columbus client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
Lead planning, scoping, testing, and reporting activities for financial, operational, and integrated audits throughout the year
Ensure audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk
Propose recommendations for mitigating risks, improving processes, or implementing operational efficiencies through data analysis, and work with stakeholders to ensure mitigating efforts are implemented
Keep Internal Audit Director informed of project status and providing appropriate information to ensure projects are completed by established deadlines
Coach and oversee less experienced staff who will support various projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of audit experience
Functional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and General Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
