What We Need

2K is looking for a Senior Manager of Community Management to join the publishing team focused on a new AAA IP. Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, you will play a crucial role in driving the community management vision, strategy, execution, and resourcing throughout the lifecycle of our new game. The ideal candidate will be a gaming enthusiast with expert knowledge and a deep drive for growing and serving player communities.

Representing the “voice” of our players, you will be responsible for fostering deep relationships with our future players, serving as the player advocate to help define and drive community building and engagement. You will develop and implement platform-specific global community strategies based on player needs to promote positive sentiment and growth for our player advocates. Must have strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills. Proactivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity are crucial for success in this strategic and hands-on role.

What You Will Do

Community Management

  • Lead and develop our community management strategy and team, championing the needs and wants of our players to help improve our game & community experiences.
  • Serve as the community management expert, collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize and streamline efforts, while managing expectations, timelines, and needs of the team to execute community workstreams.
  • Develop community engagement and growth performance metrics, providing regular performance analysis and reporting on player sentiment, needs and wants.
  • Develop and execute against key community programs that celebrate and promote our passionate players for the advocates that they are, stoking the core and incentivizing new players to join and grow our community.

Leadership, Collaboration, and Communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional publishing partners (Brand Marketing, Social Marketing, Creator/Influencer Marketing, Product Management, Insights & Analytics) in defining community growth strategies and executions.
  • Lead and grow the Community team, ensuring that our future roadmap and player community needs are resourced for success.
  • Regularly partner, present, and report to key stakeholders on community management strategies, plans, findings, results, and recommendations that influence product and marketing roadmaps in service of our players.

What Will Make You a Great Fit

  • A proven track record (6-8+ years) as a Global Community Management leader in live service games.
  • An expert in community management, skilled at crafting integrated community management strategies across channels and touchpoints.
  • Deep understanding of community & social media platform nuances globally (especially Twitch, YouTube, Discord, TikTok, Reddit, and gaming platforms).
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with community management and reporting tools, with a keen sense of what, why, and how metrics need to be delivered on.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Powerful presentation skills with the ability to create compelling presentations to support strategy and thinking, as well as present to both peers, reports, and company leadership.
  • Strong team management skills and cross-functional leadership competency, with an understanding of a matrixed organization and how to navigate.
  • A strong leader who can make critical decisions quickly, while taking a measured approach to risk, and be willing to have the hard conversations when needed.
  • Flexibility and the ability to pivot directions when needed.
  • Good taste in content and an eye for which community engagement approaches will move the needle.
  • Extensive knowledge of a wide array of gaming genres and communities.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $160,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
