Senior Manager of Financial Reporting

LHH is supporting a late-stage startup poised for significant growth and potential public listing. As the client navigates this exciting phase, they're looking for a highly skilled Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to join their dynamic team.

This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the client's financial reporting strategy, while also ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and robust internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports (Forms 10-Q, 10-K) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards and assess their impact on financial reporting.
• Establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate risk and ensure the reliability of financial information.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual financial audit process.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to senior management to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and other departments to gather financial data and support business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, with a preference for a blend of public accounting and public company experience.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting best practices.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with complex accounting issues and transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
