Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Marketing Manager with 8-10 years of experience developing comprehensive marketing strategies for a dual-focused e-commerce and app-based company. This role requires collaboration with web development, media buying, and app development teams. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in crafting and executing media mix strategies with 7-figure budgets, coordinating messaging sequences, customer segmentation, ABM (Account-Based Marketing) tactics, and creative development. Additionally, this individual should be skilled in utilizing data analytics to drive user acquisition and engagement for both our app and online store.

IMPORTANT: This role requires more than a surface-level understanding; it demands hands-on work and technical expertise to collaborate effectively with teams and independently fill in any gaps when needed.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to boost app and hardware user acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with designers, data engineers, app developers, and commercial teams to design effective campaigns that drive e-commerce and retail sales.
  • Leverage expertise in paid media platforms, including Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Linear, Amazon, and more.
  • Manage and optimize app marketing campaigns to increase user engagement and downloads.
  • Utilize data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior and fine-tune marketing initiatives (app and web-based analytics).
  • Create and oversee messaging sequences targeted at different customer segments.
  • Coordinate with web and app development teams to ensure marketing efforts align with product features.
  • Focus on retention strategies by understanding how to query user data across web and app platforms to create targeted messaging tactics and enhance the user experience, ultimately increasing customer retention and driving hardware sales.
  • Work with our B2B team to support retail partners by developing marketing strategies and procuring assets to facilitate co-branded activations.
  • Ability to negotiate advertising deals with vendors and develop integration and activation plans to strengthen partnership outputs.


Skills / Requirements

  • Strong background in data analytics and its role in optimizing marketing efforts.
  • Proven experience managing large digital marketing budgets.
  • Solid understanding of paid media platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Amazon, etc.
  • Experience in app marketing and user acquisition strategies.
  • Experience with retention strategies, including querying user data for insights.
  • Knowledge of the game of golf is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience managing marketing programs similar to this role.


Education & Experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in developing marketing strategies, activating and running paid media campaigns, and managing web and app-based marketing initiatives.
