Overview:


We’re seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Marketing Manager who excels at brand storytelling and out-of-the-box thinking to join the Verb marketing team. Under the direction of the VP of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager will lead marketing for Verb, including long-term strategy, innovation pipeline, annual marketing plans and end-to-end launch elements to achieve business objectives with your team. This role will utilize consumer research, CRM data and industry insights to identify white space opportunities and inform strategy, decision-making and adjustments as necessary. In addition, they will manage the end-to-end launch process, from product ideation to go-to-market strategies focused on the consumer journey, in collaboration with Product Development, Creative, Digital and other key cross-functional partners.


Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Support the VP in developing and implementing the 3-year brand strategy, including limited edition, GWPs and Holiday
  • Own end-to-end marketing processes, including all go to market activities
  • Directly manage detailed marketing calendar for both new products and re-support priorities in collaboration with Project Management, Product Development, Creative, Digital and Operations teams
  • Organize new product launch kick-off meeting with cross-function teams
  • Optimize portfolio, assessing financial implications of innovation and discontinuations
  • Create key launch documents (Launch strategy decks, Forecasting decks, Retailer presentations)
  • Responsible for the creation of briefs (New Product, Design and Creative/Communication), ensuring deliverables are aligned with launch objectives, and all briefs are executed and delivered on-time
  • Drive the conceptualization of 360 launch plans from strategic brief through execution with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all touch points
  • Drive digital first asset development in partnership providing clarity on deliverables, best practices and messaging priorities
  • Collaborate on influencer strategy with in-house Social Team + PR agency
  • Work collaboratively with Sales teams (Retail + Professional) on materials for market and distributor meetings as well as merchandising and creative needs.
  • Lead post-mortem analysis of new launches and campaigns, summarizing and sharing learnings to inform future initiatives and optimize effectiveness
  • Stay ahead of emerging global trends, competitive activity, and innovations globally, infusing insights + data into strategies for future brand growth
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes, translating findings into actionable brand + campaign plans


Skills & Abilities:


  • 5-7 years of work experience in marketing, preferably in beauty
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field required. MBA a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity + creating processes + collaborative partnerships to set up a high growth brand for success
  • A passionate, energetic team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills - dynamic, flexible, positive attitude
  • A creative thinker with experience with innovation, product storytelling and disruptive go-to-market activities that drive awareness and build brand equity
  • A hands-on self-starter with strong organizational and prioritization skills who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines
  • Strong execution, leadership and consensus building/decision making skills
  • Ability to think strategically, operationally and creatively
  • Passionate about beauty; relentlessly up-to-date on emerging and future trends
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to apply sustainability best practices
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to develop creative solutions in dynamic and changing business environment

  • Superior project management skills, tracking multiple parallel deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills
