We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in LS-DYNA modeling and simulation, specifically in conducting Explicit Dynamics and High-Speed Impact/Containment Analysis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in these areas, with a strong background in Explicit Dynamics meshing. Experience with Propulsion Engine and Auxiliary Power Unit products is highly desirable. This position is open to US citizens only.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and machinery using LS-DYNA modeling and simulation techniques.
Apply engineering principles to design a wide range of products, including engines, instruments, controls, robots, and machines.
Participate in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products as needed.
Conduct High-Speed Impact/Containment Analysis to ensure product safety and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LS-DYNA modeling into product design and development processes.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on LS-DYNA modeling and simulation best practices.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering and simulation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting Explicit Dynamics and High-Speed Impact/Containment Analysis with LS-DYNA.
Proficiency in Explicit Dynamics meshing techniques.
Experience with Propulsion Engine and Auxiliary Power Unit products is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
US citizenship required.
