Senior Mechanical Engineer - REMOTE

We are a top ranked, internationally known Architecture, Engineering, Environmental, and Infrastructure firm. With over 500 offices around the world, we are looking to expand our engineering team in our Ithaca, NY location (open for remote).

Position Overview: The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design of HVAC systems for residential, commercial and industrial customers. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a team of highly skilled engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems with a focus on the efficient use of energy.
• Design and develop integrated energy systems that improve energy efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) as necessary.
• Conduct detailed calculations to determine HVAC system sizing, ventilation needs, etc.
• Analyze the building envelope to improve energy efficiency.
• Develop design documents (plans, specifications, drawings, etc.) using Revit.
• Conduct field inspections, tests, and measurements of existing HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions to HVAC system issues.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years designing building mechanical systems
• Experience with HVAC system design
• Proficient in Revit/BIM and AutoCAD
• PE certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
