Amalgamated Bank of Chicago is hiring a Senior Network Engineer. This position is responsible for administration, maintenance and support of the Bank’s network.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administers, maintains and supports Active Directory (AD) Domain (updates AD), Certificate server, Virtual Infrastructure and SANS network (updates all directories, vCenter, virtual hosts, hardware and software.
• Installs, configures, upgrades and troubleshoots Microsoft Windows Servers (2012, 2016, 2019) and VMWare Infrastructure (vSphere/vCenter).
• Provides additional support for Network infrastructure when needed.
• Creates and maintains Power Shell scripts that provide automation throughout the network.
• Builds, maintains, patches and fully tests servers (Windows, Linux, Virtual Appliances).
• Provides technical support to other staff.
• Participates in departmental strategy sessions and contributes to recommendations for upgrades of hardware and software or modifications to procedures to improve efficiency and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Manages Hardware Patching Agreement with 3rd party vendor that patches all bank devices.
• Manages backup recovery solution with 3rd party vendors and provides support for backup and restoration issues across all Bank servers.
• Supports workstation connection issues with Active Directory.
• Maintains and updates the policy and procedures to recover the Bank, under a Business Recovery scenario, at a specified recovery facility.
• Assists in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Supports Service Desk in the absence of first level support and designated duties of the network management operation.
• Keeps abreast of technology and systems issues through review of industry and other related publications.
• Completes special projects as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors in information technology or equivalent experience (required)
• Five years of network support experience which demonstrates knowledge of administration and support of Active Directory, VMWare, and SANS including working knowledge of TCP/IP, internetworking, VLANS, MS networks, ISCSI SANS/Storage and Powershell (required)
• Microsoft 365 experience
