Senior Polyurethane Applications Engineer

Pave Talent is actively seeking a full-time Senior Polyurethane Applications Engineer who possesses a solid background in polyurethane, specifically within the automotive industry. Our client is a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals in the automotive industry. With over 7,000 employees at multiple locations worldwide, they generated revenues over $8 billion in 2022.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate has experience working with Tier 1 suppliers such as Woodbridge Foam Corporation, Avient Corporation, Covestro, Autoneum, and others within the automotive industry. They hold a BA/BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science and have 5+ years of experience in processing and formulating polyurethane systems, preferably within the automotive industry. Additionally, this candidate should be willing to travel up to 30% of the time. You'll work with customers on a technical basis and develop sound, face-to-face working relationships.

Benefits:

This full-time position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including a base salary ranging from $80K to $140K based on experience, a performance-based bonus of approximately 6%, 401(K) with employer match, comprehensive health plans, holiday pay, and generous PTO.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Polyurethane Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers and sales staff in polyurethane foam and composite systems, training customers on safe and effective processing, blending samples and conducting in-house trials, developing project/trial plans, assisting in account strategies, troubleshooting material and process problems, adjusting formulations with the help of Development Chemists, operating and maintaining process and lab equipment, adhering to our client's Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, and collaborating with the Technical team while providing backup support to other Applications Engineers.
