Job Summary:

The Senior Retirement Specialist provides support to Retirement Plan Wealth Advisor, plan sponsors, administrators, and participants. The Senior Retirement Specialist reports to the Director, Retirement Plan Operations, and is responsible for preparing required activities for each plan (such as committee meetings and participant education). The Senior Retirement Specialist works with plan custodians and third-party administrators for each plan to facilitate any necessary changes to the plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan Sponsor Committee Meetings
  • Attend meetings with investment and/or plan committees.
  • Prepare documents for meetings.
  • Quarterly Plan Report Creation in RPAG
  • Prepare Scorecards for each plan and review for possible fund changes.
  • Prepare Fiduciary Investment Reviews (FIR) for all meetings.
  • Support Plan Administrator/Sponsor
  • Answer inquiries regarding the plan from plan administrators and/or sponsors and participants
  • Ensure strong client satisfaction and retention from plan sponsors.
  • Communicate with Custodians and Third-Party Administrators (TPA) partners.
  • Assist with follow-up with prospective clients as necessary.
  • Onboarding New Clients – work with RSAs to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
  • Prepare and Attend/Lead enrollment meetings and educate participants.
  • Prepare and Attend/Deliver Annual Employee Education Meetings

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible - may support team members in multiple time zones)

Working Conditions: Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation, no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.

Competencies:

Business & Technological Knowledge

Individual Experience

Core knowledge of the industry with at least 3 years of retirement planning experience.

Economic Landscape

Working knowledge of the economic landscape and impact on the Firm and clients

Data/Financial Acumen

Seasoned working knowledge of data and financial metrics relevant to the job

Technology - Salesforce

Foundational to strong understanding of Salesforce including FPM

Core Tech/Platforms

Able to effectively navigate Core Technology (Microsoft Office, Box, Custodian Sites, Task Management tools, DocuSign, and more) at an expert level

Technology - Envestnet

Some knowledge and continued development of Envestnet and assisting with ad hoc reporting requests

Compliance

Foundational knowledge of aspects of compliance as relates to job tasks in role and a growing working understanding of compliance requirements

Business Operations - Account

Learning the basics of Account Operations and beginning to execute related tasks
