Senior Tax Associate – Hybrid

Brewer Morris is currently partnering with a Top 20 CPA firm in the Greater Hartford area in their search for a Senior Tax Associate. Our client has been recognized as a premier accounting, tax, financial advisory and consulting organization. Providing services to a wide range of publicly traded and privately held companies.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-level review and preparation of federal and multi-state income tax returns for

individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts

• Lead team of staff accountants

• Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements

• Research complex tax issues

• Ensure quality of work product

• Monitor workflow

• Coach/mentor individual team members

• Provide formal and informal feedback

• Communicate progress

to partners

• Develop business with both existing and new clients

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients

• Works closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plus

• CPA certificate preferred

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
