We’re looking for an experienced Senior UX Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

About the role:

As a Senior UX Engineer, you will be part of the team building a data focused product that is built on best of breed open source solutions like Kafka, Trino, DuckDB, and Superset. You will primarily work on front-end features that make interacting with data easier, enabling users to be able to tell a data story through our product.

What we are looking for:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building visually pleasing front-end applications in HTML/CSS, React, Angular, Vue or other frameworks/libraries
  • Must have deep expertise in building performant Javascript and Typescript
  • Must have expertise in MUI, D3.js, Deck.gl , and other libraries
  • Deep understanding of UX best practices to create useful, usable, and aesthetically pleasing software
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and developing 508-compliant software
  • Understanding of responsive design principles, and experience developing responsive software applications
  • Experience with building and releasing software in cloud-native environments
  • Experience using a variety of package managers/dependency managers including Maven, Gradle, and NPM
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience collaborating with a designer using design software such as Figma
  • STEM Background or relevant industry experience
  • Obtain Security+ within the first 90 days of employment with Raft

Highly preferred:

  • Experience with building map-based UIs
  • Familiarity with Kafka concepts and integration techniques for handling and processing streaming data efficiently in front-end applications, especially within event-driven architectures and microservices environments
  • Experience in a backend language like Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Rust
  • UX certifications or courses taken

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

Work Type:

  • Remote (Local to Tampa, FL preferred)
  • May require up to 25% travel

Salary Range:

  • $110,000 - $200,000
  • The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
