Having completed its IPO on Nasdaq three-plus years ago, Patria Investments is a global alternative asset manager with over 30 years of experience in Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Credit, and a leader in alternative asset management in Latin America with an expanding global footprint. Patria has experienced strong growth since its IPO and is positioned to expand its market share in its core markets as part of the rapidly growing alternative asset management industry.


About the role:

Patria Investments is seeking an experienced finance professional to serve as a Direct of Shareholder Relations and work closely with the Head of Shareholder Relations and firm leadership to develop, oversee, and implement the firm`s strategy for communicating with current and prospective investors in Patria`s publicly traded stock. Key responsibilities include managing and overseeing all public communication related to PAX financial results and strategy and interacting with investors in PAX stock as well as sell side research analysts. Other important responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on market and alternative asset management industry trends, conducting competitive analysis, and interacting with internal and external stakeholders and shareholders. This role provides the highest level of visibility to senior management and represents the unique challenge of helping to build the credibility and brand awareness of a company that has recently gone public in the thriving alternative asset management industry.


Main responsibilities:

As a Director in Shareholder Relations at Patria, you will have the opportunity to work with the Head of Shareholder Relations and senior management to shape and drive the narrative of the firm, engaging with key stakeholders and enhancing the company's public image. This role presents the challenge of managing relationships with both buy side and sell side stakeholders, expanding the investor base, and contributing to strategic communication efforts in support of the firm's growth and market leadership.

  • Work with the Head of Shareholder Relations to develop and execute comprehensive shareholder relations strategies to enhance investor confidence and engagement.
  • Contribute to public affairs initiatives to elevate the company's reputation and visibility within the financial industry.
  • Manage communication with shareholders, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee the creation of reports, presentations, and materials for shareholder meetings and public events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align public affairs efforts with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Drive initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the shareholder and public affairs functions.
  • Measure the effectiveness of the company’s investor relations program through the quality and accuracy of external analyst research and earnings estimates, the addition of new institutional owners, and growth in value relative to industry peers and relative to the market in general.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of analyst valuation methods and individual analyst models; identify the issues that require management attention. Co-monitor consensus financial estimates and models from research coverage.

Role Components

  • Crafting the Narrative: Help develop and communicate PAX's narrative, emphasizing diversification, predictability, and growth to resonate with investors.
  • Earnings Calls: Oversee the preparation and execution of pre and post earnings call activities to ensure effective investor engagement.
  • Investor Engagement: Expand and nurture the investor base, maintaining key relationships with stakeholders to drive loyalty and support.
  • Strategic Events: Organize non-deal buy-side and sell-side roadshows, participate in conferences, and spearhead the Pax 2024 Investor Day to showcase Pax's value proposition.


Main requirements:


  • Experience in in the alternative asset management industry from either an investor or sell side research perspective, or as a current Shareholder Relations professional. Close interactive with industry executives at the C-suite level is helpful.
  • Five-10+ years of industry experience.
  • Network: Connections with buy side and sell side stakeholders and industry professionals helpful.
  • New York based.
  • Experience in overseeing a supporting team and reporting to executive management.
