We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping and receiving department. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately process, pack, and ship orders, ensuring that products reach customers in a timely and secure manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing: Receive and review customer orders, verifying accuracy and completeness of information.
Packing and Labeling: Properly package products for shipment, ensuring items are secure and protected. Generate shipping labels and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Inventory Management: Keep track of stock levels and assist in conducting regular inventory counts. Report any discrepancies or shortages to the relevant department.
Shipping Coordination: Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries. Ensure timely and cost-effective shipping solutions.
Quality Control: Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Communication: Provide updates on shipping status to internal teams and customers as necessary. Respond to inquiries and resolve shipping-related issues in a timely manner.
Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of shipped orders, tracking information, and inventory levels. Keep shipping and receiving areas organized and clean.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards related to the shipping and receiving process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred.
Familiarity with shipping software and systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift and move packages of various sizes (Up to 50 pounds).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
