Social Media Manager

Summary of Position Purpose

The Social Media Manager will own our organic social media and influencer marketing efforts for Global ACG brands (NEBO, True and Thaw). This role will help with advancing our strategy, engagement, growth, testing, and optimization. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for representing our brand and building strong online communities, liaising with various team members inside and outside of the marketing function, providing regular reporting to senior leaders, and helping to translate social media activities into tangible business results by expanding our voice and reach.



Ultimately, they will be responsible for ensuring that social media serves as a key catalyst for our ambitious growth plans. The person filling this role must be capable of managing internal stakeholders, setting expectations, and educating peers, as well as both developing strategies and implementing them. This role is a member of the Marketing Team, reporting to the Sr Manager of Marketing Operations. They will be expected to have an excellent understanding of current best practices and where the social media marketing industry is headed. They should be a persuasive communicator, evangelizing the value of Social Media amongst internal stakeholders, and helping regional teams understand the opportunities their local accounts provide.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Positioning: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategy (organic and paid), ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience targets. Brainstorm new, unique ideas and direction for social content and marketing campaigns.
  • Calendar Management: Manage social media calendar & ensure alignment across teams. Build and manage marketing programs to support specific objectives across multiple channels and audience segments in support of our overall strategic plans.
  • Content Creation: Concept, develop, produce and edit engaging content that resonates with our audience, staying ahead of trends and features to ensure relevancy. Bring authenticity, wit, humor, relatability, confidence, enthusiasm, and a unique perspective to our on-camera presence! Source and brief other creators for content as needed. The main focus of this role will be on organic content but we would also love someone who can collaborate on paid creative.
  • Platform Management: Oversee day-to-day management of all channels including content scheduling, monitoring, engagement.
  • Community Engagement: Implement strategies to engage with and grow our community, ensuring an integrated approach across channels and at in-person events. Foster social community, responding to comments, collaborating with creators, participating in relevant trends.
  • Influencer & Partnerships: Design and execute on influencer strategies, identifying, engaging with and managing influencer & brand partnerships. Proactively seek social media opportunities for all brands.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports on performance across platforms and campaigns including engagement, reach and ROI. Provide recommendations on ways to optimize social activity.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects and stakeholders. Ability to align with each brand’s unique voice and tone, as outlined in brand dna guidelines.
  • Research: Stay up-to-date with changes in social media algorithms and adjust strategies and spend accordingly. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media platforms to ensure our brands stay current. Propose and manage research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved social media marketing strategy and communications.
  • Planning & Budgets: Create, develop and manage social media plan budgets. Develop cases for social media programs and make recommendations on tactics.


Key Requirements and Attributes

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business, with equivalent business experience in core areas outlined in this job description (preferred)
  • Proven professional experience in Social Media Management and content management, supporting brands in a consumer products company
  • Demonstrable experience working within collaborative, partially distributed teams; ability to work independently with little oversight
  • Highly strategic with experience in identifying target audiences and devising strategic marketing plans
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are desirable
  • Familiarity with Monday.com or other project management software
  • Deep understanding of target customers and retail market
  • Ability to execute local, in-market research to maintain market and customer connection and relevancy
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in brand marketing and measurement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong grasp of English grammar
  • Strong organization skills, multitasking capabilities to meet deadlines and time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling
