About Us

Gem Studio is a handmade jewelry workshop that offers a unique experience in a high-energy, fun environment. Our customers have the opportunity to sit with one of our instructors and design and create their own sterling silver jewelry from start to finish! We are a young and growing company, full of self-starter employees. There is lots of opportunity for growth with the company. We currently have 10 retail locations with many more opening soon.


We’re passionate about crafting experiences, and we’re looking for a Social Media Manager who will help us take our brand to the next level.

About the JobJob Description

As the Social Media Manager at The Gem Studio, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a cohesive social media strategy across all platforms. You will play a key role in growing our online community, driving engagement, and ensuring that our brand narrative remains compelling and aligned with our overall marketing goals. This position requires a creative thinker with strong project management skills, a passion for social media, and an enthusiastic personality that is comfortable on camera.


Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Post on each social channel (Instagram/Tik-Tok/Facebook/Pinterest) 4-5 times a week
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance and provide actionable insights to optimize content, reach, and engagement.
  • Engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and fostering positive interactions.
  • Collaborate within the marketing team to ensure social media is integrated with all broader campaigns, events, and promotions.


Content Creation

  • Create the content for each social channel (Instagram, Tiktok & Facebook)
  • Create the content for each Paid Ad Campaign
  • Create visually appealing and engaging content that highlights our workshops, products, and community-driven initiatives.


Ongoing Digital Fluency

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, tools, and algorithms to ensure content remains fresh and relevant.
  • Always be learning about updates in algorithms or trends that will affect the way our content performs. Always be seeking out new ideas, inspiration and strategies.

Location:

You will work in-person at the Gem Studio Headquarters.

9N University Ave, Provo, UT

Hours:

40 hours per week, 9am -5pm.

Pay:

Pay will depend on previous work experience and skill level. An appropriate offer will be made in line with the industry standard and will be negotiated through the interview process.

Qualifications

Please review the necessary qualifications before applying for the role


Social Media Management

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a track record of growing engagement and building community across platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) and best practices.


Content Creation

  • Proficiency in short-form content video editing softwares such as Cap-cut, Canva, Tik-tok and Instagram.
  • Ability to make voice-overs or talking-to-camera videos with confidence and charisma.
  • A good sense of humor that will transfer to your ability to orchestrate E.G.C. within the office and write witty, on-brand captions.


Other

  • Ability to work in-person in Provo, UT at the Gem Studio Headquarters.
  • Comfortable learning how to silversmith so you can make silversmithing videos
  • This role requires a lot of product styling on hands so we ask that your nails be neutral, clean, and consistently manicured



Bonus Points (not explicit qualifications)

  • Experience as an Influencer or UGC creator on Social Platforms
  • Experience using the Adobe Suite (Namely Adobe Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere and Indesign)
  • Expert level photography or videography
  • Experience in Graphic Design
  • Education in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Fine-Arts or Graphic Design.
  • Previous Job Experience with project management
  • A passion for community-building, non-profit organizations and making an impact.
