Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Build high-quality, reusable, and reliable code
- Follow industry best practices and coding standards
- Perform unit and integration testing
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Conduct code reviews
- Participate in software documentation
- Stay updated on emerging technologies
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Collaborate with team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of software development processes and methodologies
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, Python)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with software testing and debugging
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Solid understanding of version control tools (e.g. Git)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Experience with web development technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of databases and SQL
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
