Position Overview:

This Solution Consulting/Sales Engineering role will become the highest-level product-service solution expert in the business with the ability to demo strategically and effectively by prospect persona. The Solutions Consultant will be focusing on perfecting demo paths, executing live demos with AE/prospects, assisting on product-focused webinars and working collaboratively with P&E and Sales leadership to identify and fill market-feature gaps. This is a fast-paced role with the opportunity to be a part of a big strategic impact.


Duties / Responsibilities:

Be a subject-matter expert on assigned products/personas


  • Serve as an expert on our product/service, understanding all technical aspects of the capabilities and how it all fits into prospective customers’ process and culture
  • Serve as an expert in school safety technology and the trends in research to use during conversations with prospective clients
  • Strategically advise school safety and security leaders on how they can achieve their objectives and goals as it relates to our product/services and processes/regulations.
  • Support our product marketing team in the development of product/service-related training for the revenue staff
  • Ensure that outcomes the Product team builds for are being communicated during the sales process with prospective and existing clients.


Emphasizing storytelling in demos by persona, vertical, or current workflow


  • Building out demo accounts by persona and vertical
  • Owning storylines and improving demo flows to land with prospects


Technical resource for pre-sales


  • Confidently perform demonstrations of our solution to administrators, technical IT leaders, and end users during the sales process
  • Play a key role in driving deals forward by serving as the technical resource for prospective clients, while supporting AEs in developing the executive connection
  • Accompany the AE or Expansion team onsite/remote with clients and help in facilitating any pre-sales meetings that are needed
  • Stay up to date on competitor functionality and points of differentiation
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or associate Degree or equivalent combination of advanced education and experience
  • Two or more years of experience as a sales engineer, account executive, client success manager or end-user in SaaS environment or industry-related role.
  • Expertise in market-facing activities, ability to handle tough prospects and technical aspects of safety / security platforms with ease
  • Experience and comfort with delivering interactive content to decision makers / executives
  • Strong technical skillset and understanding of how features flow into real world outcomes
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous start-up environment
  • Understanding of complex, consultative enterprise selling Dynamic communication presence
  • Highly competent in Salesforce (Lightning), PC/Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office365.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in Business or related field
  • Three or more years of relevant experience
  • Previous private-equity experience


Normal Working Hours and Conditions: Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.However, this position will require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations.


Physical Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting including verbally communicating, seeing and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions include standing, sitting and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds. The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
