Seeking a Data Architect with proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to guide our vision to utilize the latest database technologies and data management methodologies to for creating high performance database solutions.
Responsibilities
Design databases to support business enterprise applications and physical data modeling
Review existing data architectures to determine overall effectiveness and develop comprehensive strategies for improving or replacing underperforming areas
Work with cross-functional teams to build new data platform, support their data needs, and provide thought leadership
Support database administrators, network designers and DevOps engineers to create effective and secure methods for data backup and recovery
Requirements
BS Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field
8 or more years as a Data Architect or similar role
Expertise in SQL Server
NoSQL database familiarity
Power BI familiarity (or other data visualization systems)
Must have experience interfacing with senior business leadership (director level and above) as a peer, and will be able to not only translate business strategies, objectives, constraints, timelines, and KPIs (including data quality) into a phased implementation schedule.
Strong data modeling skills, and would be equally comfortable implementing a data warehouse solution equally in a SQL and NoSQL environment (as the final solution may require a combination of the two)
