Your role at Baxter!

This individual combines industry intelligence, technical acumen, and change management to build innovative solutions to business challenges, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and success of internal customers. Act as a bridge between internal strategic priorities and external state-of-the-art, leveraging broad experience and network to bring best practices and ideas to the organization. Identifies and performs preliminary vetting of potential external solution providers, including development and socialization of business case. A key partner for driving organizational change and adoption of new practices.

What you will be doing!

  • Collaborate with QLT, ISC, IT, and Segments to develop and complete digital roadmap and analytics strategy for the QA organization with connection to Baxter’s overall strategy and priorities
  • Provide oversight and strategic mentorship to medium and large digital programs and initiatives in support of segment or companywide goals
  • Advance the use of the latest digital tools (AI, ML, etc.) to improve Quality insights, analytics, and process efficiency
  • Leverage business process knowledge and data analytics experience to deliver solutions to emerging needs of the business
  • Required to evaluate alternative technologies and lead pilots and proof of concept evaluations for emerging analytical technologies
  • Searches for new technologies within and outside the company that could improve quality processes
  • External Benchmarking across industries to identify emerging trends and solutions
  • Proactively identifies risk areas, developing and building consensus for changes and mitigations to ensure alignment in intent and incentives
  • Interacts frequently with all levels of internal management as well as across functions and business units to ensure partners alignment and support change management
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to take care of frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Identifies and leads continuous improvement projects with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements.
  • Supports development and execution of annual strategic priorities, goals, and objectives
  • Ensures that there are appropriate resources applied to the projects, determines the business need, and coordinates execution ensuring customer needs are met

What do you bring

  • BS in science or engineering. 10+ years experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical and or Medical Device industry, with relevant managerial experience plus experience of implementing strategic business projects.
  • 3+ years of proven project management skills, including the ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting the predefined quality requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior leadership to drive alignment on a strategic vision and facilitate decision making on critical issues
  • Capability building / Change leadership skills – leverage empathy and mentoring with functional partners to achieve organizational consensus and long-lasting changes.
  • Digital Transformation, enterprise solutions, or consulting experience a plus
  • Detailed knowledge of applicable procedures, specifications, regulations, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Good project management skills (tools, processes and methodologies)
  • Business systems/analysis planning skills
  • Capability to analyze, interpret and provide a ‘best case’ solution
  • Solid understanding and application of Business Intelligence (BI) tools – e.g. Tableau, Cognos, SQL
  • Digital thought leadership and roadmap experience
  • Cross proven experience with digital transformation, digital products and solutions

We understand compensation is a meaningful factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 - $198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
