Seeking accomplished Sr. Project Managers (5 different roles, please review QUALIFICATIONS section below for skills required for each of the role).

*** Location: Sacramento, CA 95816 (largely remote; occasional onsite visit for meetings required)

*** Duration: 18-month contract with an optional 18-month extension


Notes:

  • Largely remote work with occasional visits to the client location in Sacramento. In-person meetings will be at Sacramento, CA 95816. Prior notice will be provided for meeting date & time.
  • Three completed references required with resume. The client is requesting three (3) signed references which will need to be from a manager that supervised the work.


Job Description:

  • Senior Project Manager to support the governance, project planning, project execution, and project implementation.
  • The Senior PM shall be responsible for providing project management services to complete each strategic work stream through full transformation.
  • The Senior PM will collaborate and work directly with client’s Executive Leadership and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver written monthly status reports.
  • Prepare and deliver oral and written weekly (or bi-weekly) status reports.
  • Support client and critical partners in ongoing governance meetings. Produce meeting minutes that capture risks, issues, mitigations, action items, and progress toward client’s strategic priorities and initiatives consistent with best practices for project management.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree and a valid and current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) required. A copy of the degree and certificate is required to be submitted with a resume.
  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-to-year basis. Four years of experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree. The substituted experience must be in addition to the required years of experience. Example: if the experience requirement is seven years, and the individual is substituting four years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree, a total of eleven years of experience is required.
  • Minimum of four years of experience, within the last 10 years, in developing project management tools, templates, policies, and procedures.
  • Role #1: The Senior PM for People must have a minimum of seven years’ project management experience, within the last 15 years, working on projects for large government agencies (at least a $5 billion annual budget) with experience in workforce development and policy, and performance management.
  • Role #2: The Senior PM for Processes must have a minimum of seven years’ project management experience, within the last 15 years, working on projects for large government agencies (at least a $5 billion annual budget) with experience in process automation and customer service operations.
  • Role #3: The Senior PM for Technology must have a minimum of seven years’ project management experience, within the last 15 years, working on projects for large government agencies (at least a $5 billion annual budget) with experience in large-scale IT projects, data management and analytics.
  • Role #4: The Senior PM for Infrastructure must have a minimum of seven years’ project management experience, within the last 15 years, working on projects for large government agencies (at least a $5 billion annual budget) with experience in organizational change management, governance, and external communications.
  • Role #5: The Senior PM for Financial Management must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and have a minimum of seven years’ project management experience, within the last 15 years, working on projects for large government agencies (at least a $5 billion annual budget) in an accounting and financial management capacity.
