Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant Job Overview: The Senior Tax Accountant will support the Corporate Tax Manager with various tax-related tasks, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. This role involves managing sales tax filings, coordinating tax credit activities, and aiding in financial forecasts, budgeting, and tax return preparation. The Senior Tax Accountant will provide tax guidance, support compliance efforts, and ensure accurate reporting for various tax-related activities. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns.
Coordinate and manage tax credit activities, including IRA tax credits.
Support the preparation of financial forecasts, annual budgets, and quarterly tax projections.
Aid in the preparation of annual tax returns and other tax-related documentation.
Provide tax guidance for customer contracts and business unit inquiries.
Contribute to income tax provision and compliance, including federal, state, and local tax returns.
Assist with various tax forms and compliance requirements, including estimated tax payments, sales and use tax returns, and property taxes.
Prepare and submit accurate tax data for reporting and filings.
Communicate tax information to relevant business units and maintain updated tax records.
Coordinate information gathering from various sites for tax reporting purposes.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with an emphasis in accounting.
CPA or CMA designation preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, including 2 years in a corporate accounting or similar role.
Experience with "Big Four" or national accounting firms is a plus but not required.
Strong ethical standards and a clean financial history.
Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
