Act! is a leading provider of CRM software for small to mid-sized businesses. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to be a key contributor in the US accounting team.

- Maintain cash controls by reporting daily cash balances and overseeing the weekly accounts payable process.
- Create and post monthly journal entries and maintain reconciliation schedules for monthly accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Perform monthly cash reconciliations, verifying customer payments and ensuring correct entry of expenses.
- Reconcile monthly revenue to payment and billing system reports.
- Update all GL account schedules monthly, ensuring schedules tie to the general ledger balance.
- Provide variance analysis of monthly financial statements to senior leadership.
- Work closely with the UK accounting team to review their monthly book close and variance reporting.
- Serve as a backup to the Assistant Controller and A/R and A/P clerks as needed.
- Handle day-to-day and ad-hoc requests with flexibility and strong time management.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline and improve business processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced degree or CPA preferred.
- Greater than 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with financial/accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
